I like this direction. Follow the orthagonal cues from the building to inform the landscape. It will also give you the opportunity to interact better with the landscape. Take a look as a concept at how Thom Mayne places buildings sectionally with regard to existing topography and artificial topography. It is similar to the Beauborg (Pompidue) precedent in Paris, but exploited and integrated better.
Get this back into the full contextual model to see how it interacts with the neighborhood. I will reserve formal comments until I see that.
